Loud Minority was formed in 2000 to explore the use of video in a social and community context. Over the succeeding years, we have undertaken a wide range of work - from small, local productions, to broadcast documentaries. We have worked with people from diverse backgrounds, community groups, voluntary organisations and statutory agencies. A common thread in all our work is that we address important social issues and seek to promote progressive change. Along the way our work has expanded to include a significant element of training - working with many groups and individuals to create dynamic and challenging video projects. We cover all aspects of video training and offer a hands-on, enabling approach to video making. We have also made several films around arts and culture - in collaboration with artists working in theatre, music, and dance in particular. They've often resulted in public performances and screenings. We aim to continue exploring a broad range of work, and develop challenging new projects.
